SSM TT3  (Table Top Sharpener)  Synopsis

The SSM TT3 is great for sharpening any type skate small or large; Hockey, Figure, Goalie, Bandy etc  (only exception some very unique figure skates).   It is used in many large and small pro-shops worldwide and considered one of, if not the best value on the market.  Ease of use, precision, durability, simplicity, overall quality and minimal recurring costs.

The machine does not take up a lot of room; small footprint: (H15 x W17 x L29 inches).  The table slides in out, left/right and is very smooth, silky smooth.  The machine is also very quiet.   Simple vacuum and hose connection for dust extraction.

Operation: Use Skate Blade Controller (SBC) to very quickly determine blade thickness.  Then, simply set the front knob dial for the appropriate blade thickness.  This sets the correct height of the blade in holder – ensures the blade meets center of grinding wheel for even edges.  Clamp skate in holder.  Turn machine on, dress grinding wheel with diamond dresser for desired hollow (5/8 etc.) and provide consistent pace, pressure of blade across wheel left to right (or right to left) for perfect edges.

Cost for machine and everything that’s needed – $3,399.   Only recurring cost: Spare wheels $40-$44.  A diamond dresser shapes the wheel for desired hollow and typically replaced every 3-4 wheels (~$50).
